FAQ
Everything about UV-C technology, our products, and how we work.
UV-C light at 254 nm penetrates cell walls of microorganisms and damages their DNA/RNA, preventing reproduction. At sufficient doses, this neutralises bacteria, viruses, and mould spores. It is a well-established disinfection method with decades of clinical evidence.
Upper-room UVGI systems — like our LEO series — are designed so the irradiated zone is above the occupied area (typically above 2.1 m). Occupants are not exposed to direct UV-C. Ozone-generating units are for unoccupied spaces only and include automatic shutoffs.
Standard low-pressure mercury UV-C lamps output around 80% of initial UV energy after 8,000 hours. We recommend replacement at that milestone. Our maintenance contracts include lamp replacement and an output test to confirm performance.
UV-C at 254 nm is effective against SARS-CoV-2, influenza, MRSA, TB, E. coli, and most common mould species. The required dose varies by organism — our technical team can advise on dose calculations for your specific environment.
The right product depends on room size, ceiling height, occupancy, ventilation, and your risk profile. We offer free site assessments where our team surveys your space and provides a written recommendation.
Yes — our upper-room UVGI units (LEO series, SM88) are designed for continuous operation in occupied rooms. IAQ monitors also run 24/7. Ozone generators must only be used in unoccupied spaces and include a safety timer.
We offer full supply-and-install through our certified technical team. If you have a preferred contractor, we can supply products with technical documentation and provide commissioning support to ensure correct setup.
Yes. Our products carry CE marking and comply with relevant IEC, ISO, and NSF/ANSI standards depending on the product. Full certification documentation is available on request.
Yes. Annual maintenance contracts cover scheduled lamp replacement, filter servicing, performance validation, and priority call-out support. Pricing is based on the number and type of units installed.
Contract customers receive priority response — typically within 24–48 hours for Klang Valley, and 72 hours for other Peninsular Malaysia locations. We carry common spare parts locally.
Our IAQ monitoring stations support MQTT and REST API outputs, which can feed into most modern BMS and SCADA platforms. Contact our technical team for integration documentation.
